I have kept fish off and on for the last 25 years. I started out small with a 10 gallon freshwater aquarium, when I was young. Then I went to a 15 gallon, and then a 30 gallon. From there I did a 50 gallon saltwater aquarium. I then took a break from the hobby for a few years, it took a lot of time, and was expensive. Then I was walking around PetSmart one evening and saw a Marineland 150 gallon tall aquarium that they had special ordered. It was returned and I bought it half price. The stand that it came with was hideous, so I built a custom stand and canopy for it. I drilled the holes in the glass myself for bulkhead fittings. I have had this tank for about 6 years now. I have kept red tailed barbs, angelfish, tiger barbs and clown loaches in it. I stuck with relatively inexpensive fish because I was in the military and we moved around every few years. I have since left the military and now live in Mesa, AZ. Now, I am trying my hand at discus fish since I won’t have to get rid of my fish in 2 or 3 years to move across the country.
All of the pictures on this site are of my aquariums and my fish. I do not use stock photos.
